Declan Finn (Honor At Stake, The Pius Trilogy) has the wonderful RK ‘Shadowdancer’ Modena return. RK Modena is an artist whose work is on sale (and quite beautiful). She will join a panel that includes the Novel Ninja, Matthew Bowman (The Catholic Geeks, Novel Ninja), and author Tom Knighton (author of Bloody Eden, Bad Moon on the Rise, and more). We’ll cover #GamerGate, art (which Declan knows nothing about), censorship in gaming and whatever else comes up. Expect Sad Puppies, video games, Twitter wars, social media, and possibly stalking, who knows?
From the opening monologue / rant
Now, for those of you who have been following the Pope’s Media coverage this week, you may have noticed a trend to call him evil Leftist commie bastard. You may have ever noticed a tendency of the media to lie to you about what you just listened to.
And Honestly, I have no idea what’s gotten into everybody.
For example, Glenn Beck’s quote? No, the Pope Could not rid the world of abortion in one declaration — I don’t know what Glenn Beck has been smoking, but I don’t see that happening. (Best line goes to Robert: “That’s more faith in a pope than I ever had. Wow. Maybe the Pope can end hunger and violence by decree as well.”) But that’s gone to “He’s said nothing about abortion. He’s been so subtle about it.” Really?
“Defend the unborn against abortion even if they persecute you, calumniate, set traps for you, take you to court, or kill you.” ~ Pope Francis
PP Hates him for being pro-life, the grandson of the founder, M Sanger, even had a few things to say against the pope… What the Hell did you THINK he was going to say. He’s the freaking POPE, damnit.
Then there’s Mark Levin, bitching that the Pope hasn’t condemned ISIS. The Pope HAS condemned what ISIS is doing — see his UN speech, where he named all the countries they’ve been screwing with as places in need of dire aid (I heard him live and thought the Pope was declaring war on ISIS).
Oh Lord, do NOT get me started on immigration. the Pope’s speech to the UN. The line he used was “mercy and tolerance towards immigrants,” and somehow, the Pope must mean Illegal aliens from Mexico? The only groups the Pope pointed out directly were Christians in the Middle East. The ones that Obama is deliberately not letting into the United States.
That’s part of my problem — “translating into American.” Everyone, everywhere, seems to be focusing on the Pope’s trip. Why is everyone assuming that the Pope is ONLY talking to America? And only about illegals?
Hell, the Pope talks of tolerance and mercy — why doesn’t anyone assume that he’s not talking about the immigrants in Obama’s concentration camps. We still have those, right? There are tens of thousands of them in these camps still, aren’t there? Why does everyone automatically assume tolerance and mercy equals letting illegals run rampant? Hell, I don’t even think he used the word illegal.
This is almost as bad as the Pope at the UN talking about ridding the world of WMDs, especially nukes, and George the Greek on good morning america says “The Pope supports the Iran deal!!!!!!” No George, the Pope didn’t say that, but you wanted to hear it, so TA-DA!
And it’s like that all the freaking time. I still can’t get over how many people still think the Pope has a fatwa against guns. Seriously people, the pope doesn’t hate guns, he condemned WMDs. How do I know? Read the original transcript from VIS. It does not contain the word “gun” at all. Go to the Catholic Geeks page and look up guns, and Lori Janeski will spell out to you that the Pope clearly meant WMDs. And to top THAT off, as I said, the Pope went to the UN and specifically mentioned WMDs. How much more do you people need?
And for the record, no, the Pope isn’t a communist. Know how I know that? Because I read the VIS transcripts that point out that, YES, the Pope condemned consumerism, not capitalism. Capitalism makes money, consumerism buys crap for the point of buying crap.
Here’s the short version. The media lies. It continually lies. It lies everytime they have an agenda to play with or something to prove. Don’t believe me? Look up everything they’ve ever said about Sad Puppies.
